for those of you who remember Phil, he moved to Philly shortly after
Katrina destroyed his home in New Orleans and was somewhat cautiously
plugging into defenestrator and library stuff and then dissappeared... i
ran into his old partner at a coffeeshop yesterday and she let me know he
committed suicide in January. We didn't have the chance to talk much more,
but i know him and chris had plans for playing music together. i had also
tried a few times( probably just before January) to meet up with him, but
it felt like he was somehow avoiding interaction, so i left it at that. 
just thought i should let you all know, who i think aside from his work
life were some of the few people he'd managed to connect with at the time
he was coming around..
